WAYLEAVES OFFICER
Job Description/Key Responsibilities
We’re excited to announce the search for a resulted oriented, skill and motivated Wayleaves Officer to join our team at the Major Projects Department – Middle Street, Georgetown.

SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all surveying, wayleaves and land acquisition activities within the department.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Coordinate all surveying related activities for the company; witnessing of surveys, verification of data on plans and follow through to ensure timely receipt of plans.
2. Effect research of Land Titles for properties required for respective projects.
3. Engage property owners on the acquisition of properties and wayleave concessions.
4. Provide information on new acquisitions to update Land Register.
5. Assist in the preparation of building applications.
6. Assist with the processing of all regulatory applications (Neighbour Democratic Council, Town Council & Environmental Protection Agency); from submission to receipt of approval.
7. Conduct site visits with or on the behalf of the Program Manager.
8. Perform other duties that may be assigned to you within the scope of your employment, from an Authorized Officer.
COMPETENCY PROFILE:
· Use of AutoCAD
· Knowledge of Surveying/Engineering Drawings
· Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures
· Ability to define or identify problem, collect dated, establish facts and draw conclusion
· Be conversant with relevant law, and regulations of Guyana and GPL policies and rules
· Be conversant with the Safety Act and GPL Safety Handbook
· Conversant with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (report writing)
Required Qualifications and Experience
Technician Diploma in Lands Surveying from the Government Technical Institute or Certificate of Competency (Sworn Land Surveyor’s Certificate) with at least Five (5) years relevant experience.
