Job Description/Key Resonsibilities

We are excited to announce the search for a results oriented Transformer Database Analyst, to join our team at the Specialized Equipment, Maintenance Substation Department – Sophia, Georgetown Location

Under the general direction of the Specialized Equipment and Substation Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for routinely engaging with the Customer Information System (CIS) and the Open Data Kit (ODK) applications. Their core responsibility is to ensure the consistent updating, maintenance & Management of the CIS Transformer Database, which acts as the central repository for all essential Transformer data within GPL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

1. Assist in the planning, development and maintenance of GPL’s Transformer database.

2. Upload transformer manufacturer data file into CIS Transformer Module.

3. Ensure all transformers in stock are labeled and information accurately entered in the CIS.

4. Utilize ODK to receive updated transformer data from field staff and ensure accurate entry in the CIS.

5. Update changes in transformer status in the CIS, when transformers are activated or moved from one location to another.

6. Prepare reports on transformers with linkages to feeders and customer meters.

7. Utilize large format plotter to print labels for transformers and other assets as necessary.

8. Manage stock of printing supplies for labels, ie. Ink, vinyl sheets etc.

9. Enforce strict compliance with the requirements of Safety and Health regulations.

10. Ensure consistency and integrity of all corporate CIS data and computerized systems.

11. Perform all additional duties that may be assigned and is within the scope of employment by an authorized officer.

Required Qualifications and Experience

JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science from the University of Guyana or its equivalence from an accredited institution with related analytic work experience and or relevant certifications along with two (2) years of relevant work experience.

OR

2. Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Guyana or its equivalence from an accredited institution with related analytic work experience and or relevant certifications along with five (5) years of relevant work experience.
