Job Description/Key Resonsibilities

We’re excited to announce the search for a results oriented and motivated Technical Records Clerks to join our team at the Transmission & Distribution Department – New Amsterdam and # 53 Outpost, Berbice.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Transmission & Distribution Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all jobs are placed on the data base, and all the Company’s tools, line hardware, equipment and other materials department are accounted for, and kept in a safe place.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

1. Deliver tools, materials and equipment to crews’ as per established procedures.

2. Manage all tools, equipment and materials kept at the local store

3. Maintain records of all transaction relating to tools and equipment, materials inflows, inventory, and outflows

4. Prepare monthly material inventory reports and ensuring that they are consistent with stock card records.

5. Complete and enter planned/emergency jobs into Data Base.

6. Maintain Job Cards

7. Prepare and complete Statistical Reports from Data Base.

8. Take Consumers’ Reports, when required

9. Prepare Overtime Sheets for all staff.

10. Prepare attendance reports for all staff

11. Prepare payment certificates for hired vehicles and contracted work.

12. Comply with the Company’s Safety Rules and Standard Line Practice Codes.

13. Perform other duties that may be assigned to you within the scope of your employment, from an Authorized Officer.

COMPETENCY PROFILE:

* Basic knowledge of Inventory Management System and understanding of tools

* Knowledge in the use of Microsoft programmes (Excel & Access)

* Numerically inclined

* Good Interpersonal Skills

Required Qualifications and Experience

1. Technician’s Certificate Course in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from the Government / New Amsterdam Technical Institute – with two (2) years’ experience in the relevant field.

OR

2. Four (4) subjects C.S.E.E, including English Language, Mathematics and Engineering Technology, with five (5) years in Data Entry or Inventory Management experience.
