Job Description/Key Resonsibilities
We’re excited to announce the search for a results oriented System Administrator, to join our team at the Information Technology (Operations) Department – Sophia, Georgetown Location.

SUMMARY: You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of server systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Analyze system logs and identifying potential issues with server systems and related infrastructure.
- Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
- Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Perform daily system monitoring by, – verifying the integrity and availability of all server hardware, resources and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform server backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
- Perform routine audit of server systems and software.
- Add, remove, or update Active Directory and Email user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
- Apply Server and Desktop OS patches and updates based on IT security policy, and upgrade system administrative tools and utilities.
- Perform periodic server performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required on the servers. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required as well.
- Develop and maintain ISO controlled procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
- Responsible for documenting the configuration of the server systems.
- Provide Tier III/other support per request from various departments. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Repair and recover from server hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users.
- Maintain data centre environmental and monitoring equipment including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, ventilation, UPS (uninterrupted power system)/Inverter and fire protection system.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned to you within the scope of your employment, from an authorized officer.
COMPETENCY PROFILE:

Required Qualifications and Experience
- S in Information Technology or Computer Information Systems with two (2) years’ system administration experience.
OR
- Diploma in Computer Science with Systems Administration certifications in Microsoft along with two to three (3) years’ system administration experience.
OR
- Microsoft MCSA or MCITP or CompTIA’s A+, Network+, Server+, Security+ and Linux+, along with a minimum of four (4) years system administration experience.
