MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III – ANNA REGINA

Job Description/Key Responsibilities

We’re excited to announce the search for results oriented and motivated candidates with the requisite qualifications and experience to join our team as Mechanical Technician II1 – within the Diesel Generation Department – Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast.

Under the general direction of the Maintenance/Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible carrying out any repairs and maintenance to the engine and auxiliaries under supervision to sustain generation capability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

1. Assist in carrying out under supervision any Schedule or Unscheduled overhauls to any engine and auxiliaries.

2. Assist in carrying out under supervision all tasks required for routine maintenance example: 500, 1000, 3,000 services and other related services.

3. Assist in carrying out under supervision any repairs to engine and its auxiliaries, example: turbochargers, exhaust manifold systems, fuel, air, water and lube oil systems.

4. Under supervision, can be called to carry out operational duties of the plant and equipment.

5. Adhere to the company’s safety rule and environmental practices that govern the operation of equipment and surroundings and also be full knowledgeable of the department’s procedures.

6. Perform other duties that may be assigned to you within the scope of your employment, from an Authorized Officer.

COMPETENCY PROFILE:

· Knowledge of basic engine and auxiliaries’ parameters example: J/W, lube oil, main bearing, cylinder exhaust and its associated pressures and temperatures.
· Familiar with the requirements and needs for good preventative maintenance.
· Ability to handle protective devices to meet system requirements.
· Excellent writing skills
· Comply with the Company safety rules and environmental practices that govern the operations of equipment and surroundings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Government Technical Institute Technician Course in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized Institution, with at least three (3) years relevant experience.

OR

2. Apprenticeship Training in the Mechanical Discipline.

OR

3. Four (4) subjects C.S.E.C. /C.A.P.E. including Mathematics, English A and Industrial Technology
