INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR- SOPHIA
Job Description/Key Resonsibilities
1. Ensure that stocks received are in conformity with that on Goods Received Notes (G.R.N) specifications once available.
2. Ensure obsolete and defective materials are properly disposed daily.
3. Liaise with Units/locations heads for information such as work plans and make provisions to have the relevant stock available upon demand.
4. Effectively train and supervise direct reports.
5. Monthly evaluation of staff.
6. Ensure direct reports compliance with Company Rules and Regulations and initiate disciplinary actions in keeping with Company’s Rules of Conduct and Union Agreement also the Occupational Safety and Health ACT CHAPTER NO. 32 OF 1997 (daily).
7. Facilitate the auditing process as required by the Internal Audit Department.
8. Ensure that Meters are sampled (tested) and sealed by Guyana National Bureau of Standards before being issue for installation.
9. Conduct monthly meetings.
10. Requisite for department stationery.
11. Processing of all Guyana National Bureau of Standards invoices.
12. Ensure timely submission of performance appraisals.
13. Perform other duties that may be assigned to you within the scope of your employment, from an authorized officer.

· Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System AND Occupational Safety and Health Procedures and Regulations
· Knowledge of Inventory Management
· Conversant Electricity Sector Reform Act
· Ability to handle multiple task simultaneously and balance competing prioritie
Required Qualifications and Experience
1. BSc. Degree in Business Management from the University of Guyana plus certificates in Computer Studies with eight (8) years of experiences with in an Accounting /Stores environment four (4) of which must be in a supervisory level
OR
2. Diploma in Accountancy from University of Guyana or its’ equivalent from an Accredited Institution plus certificates in Computer Studies with at least ten (10) years’ relevant experience with five (5) years of which must be in a supervisory level
OR
3. A.C.C.A. Level 11, plus a Certificate in Computer Studies, with at least fifteen (15) years’ relevant experience with ten (10) years of which must be in a supervisory level
