Job Description/Key Resonsibilities
3238/OC-GY; 3239/BL-GY: POWER UTILITY UPGRADE PROGRAM; GRT/EX-14519-GY: NON REIMBURSABLE FINANCING AGREEMENT.
The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) of the European Union (EU) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the hiring of field assistants.
The Guyana Power and Light Inc. will be mapping its feeders, spurs, transformers and energy meters on its network in Georgetown in an effort to update its Customer Information System (CIS). The objectives of carrying out the field services activities are to ensure that (i) each customer’s account information is collected and verified for accuracy in the CIS and (ii) each customer’s account is linked to a transformer in CIS.
The intended outcome is to have each customer matched to a transformer in GPL’s Customer Information System to improve the company’s operational efficiency in responding to the needs of its customers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) subjects C.X.C. /G.C.E. ‘O’ levels inclusive of Mathematics and English with grades 1 to 3 or
- Technical Certificate in a field related to the assignment plus Mathematics and English at CSEC/G.C.E. ‘O’ levels with Grades 1 to 3
- Experience in conducting surveys and collection of data using mobile devices would be an asset.
