Social Management Coordinator.
The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) of the European Union (EU) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards consulting services.
The objectives of the consultancy are to (i) update the existing Social Management Strategy for the Power Utility Upgrade Program (ii) coordinate the implementation of the Social Management Programme (iii) improve trust between GPL and its customers (iv) educate users in the efficient and safe use of energy.
The intended outcome is to have a well defined Social Management Strategy and an effective and efficient implemented Social Management Program.
The Consultant should have at least a minimum of eight (8) years experience working on Social Management programs and conducting surveys in order to assess effectiveness and analyze the results attained.
In order to be considered for short-listing, interested consultants having the relevant resources, qualifications and experience; and who are from the Bank’s Member Countries or the European Union are herewith invited to submit their curriculum vitae showing the: (i) legal name of the Consultant; (ii) address; (iii) telephone number and fax; (iv) e-mail address; (v) information about the Consultant and principal areas of expertise and activities; (vi) description of specific experience in social management planning/coordination and implementation in utilities.
Interested consultants must provide information establishing that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.).
The consultancy is to be executed over 12 months resident in Guyana.
Interested consultants will be determined to be short-listed by demonstrating in their
Expressions of Interest that they have the relevant qualifications and experience to carry out the services associated with this consultancy.
It will be considered a plus if Consultants have specific experience in the Caribbean and Guyana. Working language of the consultancy will be English, and reports will therefore be presented in that language.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-[9]. Individuals recognised from the Bank Member countries will be eligible as well as individuals recognised as eligible by the European Union under its applicable regulations on procurement.
