SCADA Engineer

 

The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) of the European Union (EU) towards the cost of a Power Utility Upgrade Program and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under contracts of services for a SCADA Engineer for Guyana Power and Light Inc.

Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) now invites suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the post of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Engineer within the SCADA Unit, System Control and Engineering Services Department.

The objective of the post is to support GPL’s system operations by ensuring proper management, maintenance, and development of the SCADA Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens, configure new and maintain existing SCADA monitoring points.

Candidates should possess a Bachelors of Science Engineering Degree in Electronic/Electrical/ Controls/ Electronic/Computer Science or its equivalent from an accredited institution with five (5) years experience. SCADA experience would be an asset.

GPL will offer an attractive salary and benefits package that commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants must be from an Inter-American Development Bank’s member country or recognized as eligible by the European Union under its applicable regulations on procurement.

Required Qualifications and Experience
