Temporary Closure of GPL’s Main Street Office  

The general public is hereby advised that our Guyana Power and Light Inc. Office, 40 Main Street, Georgetown, Guyana will be closed from Monday, September 7, 2020 to Sunday, September 13, 2020. Business will resume on Monday, September 14, 2020. 

In the interim, customers are advised of the following: 

BILL PAYMENT & PREPAID TOKEN PURCHASES 

Customers are encouraged to utilize our wide network of payment agents to make bill payments and purchases tokens

Additionally, all other GPL Commercial Offices and Service Centres in the counties of Berbice, Demerara and Essequibo remain open for business. These Offices are open to process bill payments and token purchases only. All other services inclusive of, but not limited to, service applications and queries are being facilitated through our website @ www.gplinc.net and Call Centre via 226-2600.  

Our Commercial Offices are operational between 08:00 hours to 14:00 hours, Mondays to Fridays and closed for business on weekends, while our Service Centres at Parika, Mon Repos and Grove are operational between 08:00 hours to 14:00 hours, Mondays to Fridays on their respective business days and from 7:30 hours to 14:00 hours on their respective weekend days.  

POSTPONEMENT OF APPOINTMENTS 

All service-related application appointments scheduled for the period of closure at our Main Street Office will be postponed to a later dateCustomer Service Representatives will make contact these customers during the week of Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18, 2020 to reschedule all appointments.
