RFI No. 01/2021:Request For Information for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of 33MWp of Solar Photovoltaic Plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems

The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has earned financing from the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF) under the Guyana – Norway partnership and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of 33MWp of Solar Photovoltaic Plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems. The financing earned will be administered in accordance with the Policies of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The program will be executed by the Guyana Power and Light Inc. (Executing Agency) as part of the Guyana Utility Scale Solar Photovoltaic Program (GUYSOL). The Works under the Program will be done at eight (8) project sites to be tendered in three (3) lots. There is one (1) project site in Region 5 (West Coast Berbice) and two (2) project sites in Region 6 (East Coast Berbice), forming Lot 1; three (3) project sites in Region 10 (Linden), forming Lot 2; and two (2) project sites in Region 2 (Essequibo Coast), forming Lot 3. Bids will be invited for individual lots or for a combination of lots.

The objective of this Request for Information is to carry out a survey of the market to assess the firms with the capacity to execute the works described, and are interested to provide the required Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of 33MWp of Solar Photovoltaic Plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems.  This is NOT a short-listing or prequalification exercise.
